How to Throw Something Through Windows on Grand Theft Auto 4

After a short time playing "Grand Theft Auto 4," you will find yourself handling mob hits, taking on whole city blocks of gangsters and robbing banks at machine-gun point. However, every hardened criminal has to start somewhere and for you that means working your way up from low level hoodlum work. One of the tasks you must complete in this capacity is extracting protection money from a shopkeeper by smashing his windows with bricks.

  Begin the mission "Bull in a China Shop." Drive to the store indicated on the map. Speak to the shop keeper. He will tell you that he isn't going to pay.

  Follow the green marker on the map. This will lead you to a section of waste ground where some loose bricks are lying around. Walk over to the bricks.

  Press the "L3" button when you are standing right over the brick by clicking straight down on the left thumb stick.
- 4
  Return to the shop. Hold down the "L2" button to aim with the brick. This is the trigger button on the left of the controller. Place the target over the shop window, not the doors. Press "R3," the trigger on the other side of the controller, to toss the brick through the window.
