How to Make a PS3 Controller Work on AIM

If you want to make your PlayStation 3 controller work with AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), then you need to set the PlayStation 3 controller to work on your computer. This requires a driver to properly recognize the hardware and how the computer interacts with the hardware. Proper installation then will connect the controller to your computer. This allows you to use the controller similarly to how you would use your mouse.

  Download the driver located in the resources.

  Double-click the driver to install it. It will put a file called "Sixaxis_PS3_Win32_Driver_For_PC.rar" on your desktop.

  Open "Sixaxis_PS3_Win32_Driver_For_PC.rar" by double-clicking the file. This will unpack the file giving you more drivers.

  Plug your PS3 controller into your computer using the USB cord.

  Run "ps3sixaxis_en.exe." This is one of the unpacked files.

  Push the "PS" button on your PS3 controller.
