How to Get the Map Expansion for Call of Duty: Black Ops for PS3

"Call of Duty: Black Ops" is a first-person shooter video game that, like the games before it, features a multiplayer setting. In May 2011, Activision released additional maps to play across all platforms. Purchasing these maps for your PlayStation 3 copy of the game requires finding the map expansion packs in the PlayStation Network Store. As of July 2011, the cost for the map pack is $15.

  Select the "PlayStation Store" option on your PS3's main menu.

  Select "Add-Ons" in the PlayStation Network Store.

  Select "A to M" on the list of options at appear on-screen. Select "C," followed by "Call of Duty: Black Ops."

  Select "Escalation" from the on-screen list, bringing you its store page.

  Select "Download" to install them onto your hard drive. This automatically adds them to the game, so the next time you play "Black Ops," the maps will already be there.
