How to Hook up a Component HDTV to a PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) supports three types of video connections for various types of TVs. The component connection is designed for HDTVs and will produce higher-quality graphics when compared to a standard, composite (RCA) connection. Component inputs are available on the majority of HDTVs. The PS3 does not include a component cable and must be properly configured to get the most optimal picture quality.
