How to Connect a DualShock PS3

The DualShock 3 has replaced the SixAxis as the official PlayStation 3 (PS3) controller. Like its predecessors, the DualShock 3 features a vibration mechanism, two analog sticks and face and shoulder buttons. Although the DualShock 3 can be used while connected to the supplied USB cable, its wireless function will not work until the controller has been connected (paired) with the PS3. Up to seven controllers can be connected to a PS3 at once.

     Turn on the PS3. Connect the small, rectangular side of the supplied USB cable into the mini-USB port on the DualShock 3.

     Press the "PS" button on the center of the controller.

     Wait until the lights on the DualShock stop flashing and disconnect the controller from the USB cable.
