How to Get the Contender Achevement on Sonic 4

"Sonic 4: Episode 1" is an episodic downloadable game released in 2011 for PSN, WiiWare, XBLA and iPhone. It is designed in a similar way to the original Genesis and Sega CD Sonic games, with polygonal graphics on a 2D plane. It has been received well commercially and critically, and praised as a return to "classic" Sonic gameplay. Like every modern XBLA game, it also has achievements.

Instructions

  Complete each act with at least 50 coins, then jump into the giant ring that appears at the end of the act. Win the bonus stage to get the Chaos Emerald. There are 7 Chaos Emeralds in total, one for each stage, meaning that there is more than one chance per stage to get a Chaos Emerald. Finish the game.

  Finish the Time Attack stages by collecting 50 coins, then pressing Jump twice to turn into Super Sonic. Super Sonic is sustained by grabbing coins as you go through the stage. Super Sonic is much faster than Sonic and can breeze through every stage, ranking high in Time Attack.

  Go to "Leaderboards" on the title screen, then press "Right Bumper" to scroll through each stage for each screen in Time Attack and Normal mode to upload your scores. Once a score has been registered for each level in Time Attack and Normal, you will get the "Contender" achievement.
