Things You'll Need
Instructions
Minimize your bandwidth usage. You use bandwidth every time you upload, download, watch videos or browse websites. Downloading files or watching videos is very taxing on your limited bandwidth. While streaming videos on your PS3, do not download files, upload files or watch videos on any computers in the house.
Reset your Internet connection. If your modem is not functioning properly, the Internet slows down. In turn, the PS3 -- or any connected device -- cannot obtain data quickly enough to smoothly stream videos. Shut off your modem, wait 30 to 60 seconds and then turn it back on again. If there is no "on/off" button, unplug the power source, then plug it back in after 30 to 60 seconds.
Adjust your wireless signal. The strength of your wireless Internet signal is affected by factors such as electronic interference or distance from the PS3. A weak signal limits data transmission and slows down streaming videos. If possible, place your wireless router closer to the PS3's location, and do not obstruct the transmitter with other electronic devices.
