How to Hook Up a Toshiba TV to a Motorolla DVR Player

Motorola DVRs are used for transferring cable signals to your TV set. DVRs are like hard drives, in that they allow you to record and save your favorite shows, so you can watch them later or when it's convenient. Connecting a Motorolla DVR to a TV is quick process. Since Toshiba LCD and Plasma TVs support high-definition signals, connect your device and stream content at high quality resolution.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the DVI port on the back of your Motorolla DVR. Connect one end of the DVI cable into the DVI port on your DVR, then connect the other end into the DVI port on your Toshiba HDTV.

    • 2

Connect the component video cable to the ports on your DVR, if you want to use component video output. Then connect the color-coded pins on the cable to the component video (Y, Pb and Pr) inputs on your HDTV. The inputs are color-coded green, blue and red.

    • 3

Turn on your TV, then turn on your Motorola DVR.

    • 4

Press the "Input" button on your TV's remote control repeatedly, and select the input channel that connects to your DVR. When the correct input channel is displayed, you should see your programming.
