How to Get Allies for Black Ops for PS3

"Call of Duty: Black Ops" is a first-person shooter which is especially well-known for its multiplayer modes. Players can choose from a variety of game modes, which generally consist of competing toward a particular goal against others and "racing a clock" on a small map to encourage encounters. Some of the game modes pit each player against every other, but you can play other modes that divide players into teams.

  Boot your system and put the "Black Ops" game disc into the drive if it isn't there already. Wait through the opening credits and press "Start" when prompted.

  Select the "Multiplayer" option from the title menu list of game modes.

  Choose to play "Split-screen" or "PlayStation Network." Split-screen play occurs between players using the same PS3 console, while the PlayStation Network is used for online play.

  Click "Find Match," then pick a game mode that divides players into teams. These include Team Deathmatch, Mercenary, Ground War, Demolition, Headquarters, Search and Destroy, Capture the Flag and Team Tactical.
