How to Hookup the Second Motion Controller on the PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is one of the best-selling video game consoles in the world. According to "PC Magazine" the Sony-produced technology has sold over 50 million units worldwide. Sony released PlayStation Move in 2010 in an attempt to compete with the popular Nintendo Wii console. Move games are connected to the motion sensor controller via a Bluetooth connection, which eliminates cables and allows for a much more interactive gaming experience. Additional motion sensor controls for PlayStation Move can be connected to the PS3 in the same way as additional standard controllers. A maximum of seven controllers can be paired with your PS3.

     Connect the small end of the USB cable to the motion controller and the large end of the USB cable to the port in your PS3 console.

     Press the "PS" button located in the center of the motion controller.

     Press the "X" button on the motion controller to confirm its pairing to your PS3.

     Remove the USB cable from the motion controller. Remove the USB cable from your PS3.

     Use the motion controller as usual.
