How to Edit PS3 Keys

PlayStation 3 consoles aren't manufactured with a native setting that enables you to edit the function that is assigned to a key by default. However, a third-party application called Rogero PS3 Buttons Layout Changer can be used to accomplish this task. This application can specially be useful to people who have a Japanese version of the PS3 console, which assigns the "Enter" function to the "O" key and the "Back" function to the "X" key, the opposite of the layout for the PS3 developed for the United States. To edit the PS3 keys, you must download this freeware and install it in your PS3.

Double-click on the downloaded file to open its contents. You will see a file named "Rogerov1.1.rar." Leave this window open.

Insert the USB flash drive in your computer's USB port. Click the "Open device to view files" option displayed on the pop-up box. This will open the main menu for your USB flash drive. Right-click on an empty region of your flash drive's main menu; click "New" from the drop-down menu. Click "Folder" from the submenu and name the folder "PS3."

Go to the window that has the "Rogerov1.1.rar." Click on the file and drag and drop the file in the main menu for your USB flash drive. Drop this file below the "PS3" folder you created initially. The PS3 folder is created so your console can read the flash drive.
