How to Hookup PS3 to TV With Surround Sound System

The PlayStation 3 is a gaming console that features a high-definition multimedia interface, or HDMI. The PS3 also includes a Blu-ray drive, offering 1080p video and lossless audio, both of which require HDMI. One of the benefits of HDMI connections is the fact that these capabilities are enabled with one cable, leading to your surround system. From there, a second HDMI cable supplies video to your display.

    • 3

Find the "HDMI Out" jack on the back panel of the receiver. Plug a second HDMI cable into this port. Use a cable long enough to reach to your display.
