"Mass Effect 2" was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2011. Your choices from the original "Mass Effect" play a large part in the story of "Mass Effect 2." However, the PlayStation 3 never received the original "Mass Effect" game. To make up for this, an interactive comic is shown when players first start "Mass Effect 2" on PlayStation 3. This comic allows players to view the effects of the first game, while making the choices that impact the second game through the comic. This comic is not included on the "Mass Effect 2" disc, and must be downloaded from the PlayStation Store before playing. This add-on is free to users who purchase "Mass Effect 2" new.

Select the "PlayStation Store" icon on the "PlayStation Network" tab from the main menu of your PlayStation 3.

Select "Redeem Codes" in the top right corner of the screen.

Enter your 12-digit Cerberus Code, found inside the "Mass Effect 2" case, and select "Continue."

Select "Download" to download the "Cerberus Pack," which includes the digital comic. The download speed varies depending on your Internet connection.

Launch "Mass Effect 2" and select "New Game" to view the interactive digital comic.
