How to Keep Your PS3 Slim Safe

A PS3 Slim gaming console is quite an expensive machine, so keeping it safe and maintaining it may not only improve game play, but also promote longevity. Your gaming console allows you to play your favorite games, watch videos, browse the Internet, and play music and photo slide shows. If you don't keep your device safe, it may overheat or run into other problems that may cost you quite a bit in repairs.

  Keep your PS3 Slim in an open and well ventilated area to prevent it from overheating. Do not keep it in a narrow or cramped spaced such as a drawer. This increases the likelihood of overheating.

  Place your gaming system at least 4 inches away from a wall source. If your game is on a carpet, move it to a flat open space.

  Remove covers such as a cloth from your gaming console. Covers block the vents and cause your game to overheat.

  Vacuum the vents on your gaming console with a low-powered vacuum cleaner if they are dirty and or appear clogged.
