Using an AV Cable
Connect the A/V connector on the A/V cable into the A/V port on the back of your PS3.
Connect the red, yellow and white input pins on the A/V cable to the "Video In" ports on your TV. Make sure the pins match the red, yellow and white inputs.
Turn on your TV, and then turn on your gaming console.
Press the "Input" button on your TV or remote control and select the correct input channel.
Select "Settings," then "Display Settings," then "Video Output," and then press the "X" button. Select your input connection method, and then follow the guided prompts to select your display settings.
Using an HDMI Cable
Connect one end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" on your PS3, and then connect the other end into the "HDMI In" port on your TV.
Turn on your TV, and then turn on your gaming console.
Press the "Input" button on your TV or remote control and select the right HDMI input channel your PS3 is connected to.
Select "Settings," "Display Settings," and then "Video Output." Press the "X" button. Select your input connection method, and then follow the guided prompts to select your display settings.
Using a Component A/V Cable
Connect the A/V connector on the component A/V cable into the A/V port on the back of your PS3.
Connect the five pins on the cable into the "Component Video In" ports on your TV. The pins are color coded, so match them to the color coded inputs on your TV.
Turn on your TV, and then turn on your gaming console.
Press the "Input" button on your TV or remote control and select the right HDMI input channel.
Select "Settings," then "Display Settings," followed by "Video Output," and press the "X" button. Select your input connection method, and follow the guided prompts to select your display settings.
Using an S Video Cable
Connect one end of the S video cable into the port on the back of your gaming console, and then connect the other end into the "S Video In" connector on your TV.
Turn on your TV, and then turn on your gaming console.
Press the "Input" button on your TV or remote control and select the right input channel.
Select "Settings," "Display Settings," and then "Video Output." Press "X." Select your input connection method, and then follow the guided prompts to select your display settings.
