      Turn on the power for your PS3 and one controller.

      Scroll to "PlayStation Network" on the menu.

      Choose "Sign up for PlayStation Network."

      Select "Create New Account."

      Enter your country, language and date of birth when prompted.

      Agree to the terms of service by choosing "Accept."

      Enter your email address when prompted. Your email address will be your login ID. You will also create a password.

      Enter your online ID. This ID will be viewable by your online friends and it is what other players will see in an online multiplayer game.

      Enter your name and street address. Also, choose your notification preferences.

      Select "Confirm" to finish creating you PS3 ID.
