Pair Headset via USB Cable
Turn on the PS3 system and make sure the PS3 system has version 2.50 or later software. Update the software, following the on-screen instructions if you have an earlier version.
Plug the smaller end of the USB cable into the USB slot on the headset, and then plug the larger end of the USB cable into the USB slot on the PS3 console.
Watch the green light on the headset. When the headset pairs with the PS3 system, the green light will remain solid for two seconds.
Pair Headset via Bluetooth
Turn on the PS3 system.
Press down and hold the power button on the headset. Continue pressing down until the microphone muting light and the power light alternate flashing green and red, which means the headset is in Bluetooth discovery mode.
Go to "Settings," "Accessory Settings" and "Manage Bluetooth Devices" from the home menu of the PS3 using the PS3 controller. Select "Yes" to pair the headset with the PS3 system.
Select "Start Scanning" on the menu. Select "Wireless Headset" from the list of Bluetooth devices, and enter "0000" as the passkey.
Check Settings and Adjust Microphone Volume
Go to "Settings," "Accessory Settings" and "Audio Device Settings" from the home menu on the PS3 system.
Select "Microphone Level" by pressing "X" on the PS3 controller.
Press the "Up" directional button on the controller to turn the volume up, or press the "Down" directional button to turn the volume down.
