How to Fix an 8002F14E Error When Updating a PS3

Problems that occur while operating the PlayStation 3 video game console are usually denoted by an error code that gives you a specific reason for the issue. If you are receiving an "8002F14E" error code, this means that there has been a problem updating the system firmware on the PS3. Troubleshooting this issue may provide a simple fix, but this problem also can be caused by a more serious hardware malfunction that will require service by a Sony technician.
