How to Do the Recovery Method on a PS3

If you are experiencing major problems with your PlayStation 3 game console, such as difficulty launching games or movies, corrupt system files or other issues, you may need to access the system's hidden recovery mode. This mode allows you to perform a full system recovery, which is the equivalent to reformatting a hard drive on your computer. Keep in mind that when you restore your PS3, you will lose all of your game data and downloaded files, such as photos, music and videos.
