How to Connect a PS3 to a Proscan TV

The Sony PlayStation 3, also known as the PS3, is a gaming system that has built in Wi-Fi and a hard drive to store games, music and movies. It can also play Blu-ray discs and regular DVDs. To take advantage of the PS3's audio and video quality, connect the system to your Proscan television using an HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) cable. The HDMI video cable will give not only give you the best picture quality, it will also carry the audio signal.

      Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI output on the back of the PS3. The HDMI cable will fit only one way, so don't force it into the output. If the plug isn't fitting easily into the jack, turn the plug around and reinsert it.

      Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the back of the Proscan television where it is marked "HDMI In."

      Plug the end of the power cord designed to fit into the back of the PS3 into the power input of the PS3. Plug the other end of the cord into your wall outlet.

      Press the "Input" button on the front of the Proscan television or on the remote control until the "HDMI" input is selected.
