How to Enable TV on PS3

You can enable TV on a PS3 by streaming content from the game console to your computer. To do this you will need to have a TV tuner card installed in your computer. The PS3 will need to be connected to the Internet with a router. To do this you will need to have the Nero MediaHome software installed on your computer system to view the TV stream.

HDMI cable
Nero MediaHome

  Connect one end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the PS3. Connect the other end of the cable to the "HDMI In" port on the TV tuner card.

  Click the "Start" button and go to "All Programs." Click the folder for "Nero" and click the option for "Nero Media Server." This will open Nero MediaHome.

  Put a check in the box for "Enable TV Streaming." Click the option for "Start Server" that is located at the bottom of the window.

  Press the "Power" button to turn on the PS3. Select the "Video" icon from the main menu. You will see an icon for Nero MediaHome. Select this icon to view a channel list.

  Select a channel to view the TV stream.
