How to Assemble a PS3 Slim Blu-Ray Drive

The PlayStation 3, or PS3, is not only a game console but also a Blu-ray player that will play regular DVDs and Blu-ray DVD videos. Some owners have faulty Blu-ray players; the disc sometimes gets stuck in the drive or the laser light goes out, which prevents the disc from being read. Sony will replace a broken drive for free if it is covered under your warranty. You can replace it yourself, but be advised that it will void your warranty.
