How to Get PlayStation Network Points

In 2006, Sony released the first version of the home media console, the PlayStation 3. With this console, you must have a PlayStation Network account to play games and purchase games and add-ons. Unlike competitors Wii and Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 operates with real dollars rather than points, but you must still add funds to your online wallet before making purchases. You can add more funds to your wallet through the console.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PlayStation 3 and sign in to your profile.

    • 2

Navigate up and select "Account Management."

    • 3

Highlight "Transaction Management" and press "X."

    • 4

Highlight "[Add Funds]" and press "X."

    • 5

Follow the on-screen instructions to add funds. This includes adding a credit card if one is not already stored and selecting the amount of money you want to put into your wallet.
