How to Charge a PS3 Move Wand

Sony's new motion controls, named PlayStation Move, rely on a motion-based wand held in one hand and a classic controller in the other, equipped with buttons and a joystick. Like most modern controllers, the wand works without wires, requiring you to recharge the device after depleting the battery. Use the wand's provided USB cable to get the device back up and running.

     Turn on the PlayStation 3.

     Connect one end of the wand's USB cable into the wand's USB connector port on the bottom of the device.

     Connect the other end of the USB cable into a vacant USB port on your PS3. The wand begins charging, indicated by a slow flashing light.

     Unplug the wand from the PlayStation 3 when the light stops flashing, indicating a full charge.
