  Download the PS3 v.3.30 Firmware Upgrade file folder to your computer.

  Insert a USB media storage drive into the USB port on the computer. The folder for the storage drive will appear on the computer's desktop.

  Drag-and-drop the firmware upgrade file folder into the storage drive folder, then remove the storage drive from the USB port on your computer.

  Plug the USB drive into the USB port on your PS3, then press the PS button on your PS3 game controller to open the XcrossMediaBar (XMB) menu.

  Scroll to the menu bar to the "Install Package Files" option, then press the X button on the controller to select it. The firmware update will automatically download to the PS3 and install itself.
