How to Change Your Bubble Color on the PlayStation Move

PlayStation Move is a motion-sensitive controller for the PlayStation 3 game system. Move controllers detect a player's motion using a unique colored bubble, called the "Sphere," on the end of the controller. The color of the Sphere changes depending on the player's surroundings so that the computer can always tell the difference between motion in the background and the controller. While the Sphere readily changes color, there is no way of reliably selecting a particular color for your controller.

     Locate the "Eye Camera," the device that detects motion from the controllers.

     Spin the Eye Camera to face a different direction. You may also need to rotate your TV to see the game.

     Start the PlayStation and load a game compatible with PlayStation Move.

     Wait while the console calibrates your controller. The Sphere changes color based on the background. A new environment for your console may yield different colors.
