How to Connect a PS3 With Only a Modem

The PlayStation 3 game console offers the option to connect to the Internet wirelessly. However, if you want to jump right in without configuring your PS3's Wi-Fi settings, you can connect to the Internet via an Ethernet cable. This is a networking cable that looks a lot like a telephone cable, except larger. You can run this cable directly from the modem to the Ethernet port in the PS3 and from there you can log onto the Internet.
