Make sure that there is an available wireless network within the PS3's range.
Navigate to "Settings," then "Network Settings" and press the "X" button.
Highlight "Internet Connection." Press the "X" button and select "Enabled" to continue.
Highlight "Internet Connection Settings" and press "X."
Choose "Easy" and press the "X" button again.
Choose "Wireless" when asked what connection method you want to use. Press the "X" button to continue.
Select "Scan" and press "X."
Choose an access point and press "X."
Select the type of "WLAN Security Setting" of the wireless connection. If you are connecting to your own wireless connection, you should know about this information. Otherwise, you need to check your router configuration. If you are connecting to a friend's wireless connection, ask him which security setting he uses.
Type the network security key if the connection is secured.
Press the "X" button to save the Internet settings.
Press "X" to test the connection. You should be prompted when the connection test is completed. You can now start surfing the Internet.
