How to Delete a Saved Game on a PS3

Gamers have the ability to download various items from Sony's PlayStation Network Store, such as demos or full games. This online store cuts out the middle man, negating the need to leave your home. There is a downside, however. Each game saves to your hard drive, which, depending on your model, has a maximum 320 GB storage space. Gamers who utilize the PlayStation 3's multimedia playback capabilities usually have an easy time filling this memory. If you need to make room for additional items, delete old or unused saved games.

     Turn on the PS3. The cross-menu bar loads.

     Scroll to the "Game" section. A list of folders, tools and game thumbnails appears.

     Highlight the saved game you wish to delete and press the Triangle button. A menu opens.

     Choose "Delete" and select "Yes." The saved game deletes from your hard drive.
