You can play games online with friends using PlayStation 3's game share system; however, only games downloaded from the PlayStation store allow you to participate in the game share program. You can also delete old users or those who are not currently playing along right from your PS3 gaming system. But because only the player can delete himself from game share, you will either need him to do it, or you will need his user name and password to complete the process.

Log in to the Game Share system using the login and password of the user you want to delete.

Select the icon of the user, and then press the triangle button on the PS3 remote.

Select "Delete" in the options menu. Once you delete a user, all the user's data stored on the PS3's hard drive will be deleted from the system.
