How to Connect Your PS3 to Get Netflix Movies

The PlayStation Network, Sony's online gaming community for the PlayStation 3, offers gamers a wealth of options, such as multiplayer matches, media downloads and Facebook browsing. The service also provides a free Netflix application so you can link your console to your Netflix account. Once configured, the application allows you to stream movies directly to your television using the PlayStation 3. Once you link the console and account, your PlayStation 3 automatically signs you in to your Netflix account every time you load the Netflix application.

  Log in to your PlayStation Network ID and press the "PlayStation" button on your controller to access the XMB menu.

  Scroll to the "PlayStation Network" area of the XMB.

  Scroll down and choose the "What's New?" section.

  Choose "Netflix" and confirm the download when prompted. The application takes a few seconds to download and install.

  Go to the "Video" section of the XMB after the Netflix application finishes downloading.

  Scroll down and choose "Netflix." The application will load, and your console will display an activation code.

  Visit Netflix.com/activate on your computer and log in to your Netflix account if prompted. An "Activate Now" field appears.

  Enter your PlayStation 3's activation code and click "Activate Now." Your PlayStation 3 will automatically log in to your Netflix account after a few seconds.
