How to Calibrate a TV With a PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) computer entertainment system has several methods of outputting video and audio signals. To experience your video games using the highest capabilities of your TV and console, the two devices must be calibrated to work on the same formats. Display capabilities are dependent on your TV's resolution and the cables used to connect to the PS3. HDMI and component cables allow the highest resolutions (1080p/1080i) while AV and S-Video cables allow a resolution of up to 480i.
