How to Install Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for the PS3

Like most PlayStation 3 games, "Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition," requires you to install data to your PlayStation 3's hard drive. When data is installed to your hard drive, the game's loading times are decreased. The size of the installation file for "Borderlands: GOTY" is 2,437 MB and the process takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete. To install "Borderlands: GOTY" to your PlayStation 3, you must insert the disc into your PlayStation 3 and begin the game.

     Insert the "Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition" disc into your PlayStation 3 disc drive.

     Select "Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition" from the "Game" menu on your PlayStation 3 main menu to begin the game. Upon starting the game for the first time, you are prompted with a message about installation.

     Press "X" to begin installation. Do not turn off your PlayStation 3 while the game is installing. When installation is complete, the "Borderlands" main menu loads.
