How to Change the Color on the PS3 Move

The Sony PlayStation Move motion-sensing system is a wireless add-on to the Sony PlayStation 3 entertainment system. It allows players to control characters and activities within games through the use of a motion-sensing wand. The wand registers the movements of the player in coordination with the PlayStation Eye camera. The wand contains motion sensors, vibration feedback and a color-changing bulb sensitive to the surrounding environment.

  Place objects of colors you do not wish the Move wand to display into the detection field of the motion detector. The wand will avoid changing to colors that are found within the surrounding environment so that it is more easily detectable by the Eye camera.

  Change the intensity of light in the room where the Move is being used. Darker rooms produce a brighter whitish color in the wand while brighter rooms produce a deeper, darker hue.

  Use multiple Move wands at the same time. Each wand must be a different color so that the Move motion detector can differentiate between the controllers and respond appropriately to each player using a wand.

  Play different games to cause the Move wand to emit different colors. Some actions in certain games will cause the color of the wand to shift.
