Instructions
Select a fighter from the player-select screen that fits your attack style. Your choice of character will affect which moves and weapons he possesses and, consequently, what his finishing move will be.
Press the "Start" button on the PlayStation controller at the start of your battle to pause the game. Scroll down to and select "Move List." Your character's moves will be displayed on the next screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the move list to see the very last move listed under the heading, "Alternate Attacks." Note the button combination for the finishing move for use in your upcoming battle. Hit the "Start" button to return to the battle.
Attack your opponent with a mix of high, middle and low attacks, occasionally mixing in some ranged attacks when you have the chance. The goal in each round is to get your opponent down to a critical health state, which occurs when his life bar has about 15 percent left. You will also hear a heartbeat sound to indicate that your opponent is in the critical health state. A finishing move can be performed only when an opponent is in this critical health state.
Execute your finishing move by standing in front of your critically injured opponent and pressing the appropriate button combination. For the pirate or Viking characters, press the "Circle" and "Triangle" buttons on the controller simultaneously. For the Apache or ninja, press the "Cross" and "Circle" buttons simultaneously. For the Spartan, samurai, knight or centurion, press the "Cross" and "Square" buttons simultaneously.
Watch your finishing move play out as your character ends the fight with style. You will know that the move has been executed correctly if the screen flashes for a moment after you press the appropriate buttons and the corresponding strike connects with your opponent. If the finishing move animation fails to start, attempt the finishing move again.
