How to Hook a PS3 to Two TVs at the Same Time

Sony develops and manufactures the PlayStation3 console, which enables you to play video games, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. With the PS3 you can also use Web-based applications such as Netflix, Hulu and YouTube, plus you can rent movies and games though the PlayStation Network. You can connect your PS3 to your TV using an RCA plug, optical cable or an HDMI cable. The HDMI gives you the best sound and the best possible resolution. You can swiftly connect your PS3 to two TVs with an HDMI splitter.

Things You'll Need

HDMI capable TV
HDMI splitter cable
2 HDMI cables

Instructions

  Connect the HDMI splitter cable to the HDMI input on the back of your PS3.

  Insert one end of both HDMI cables in to the HDMI inputs on the HDMI splitter.

  Connect one of the HDMI cables to the HDMI input of the first TV and connect the other HDMI cable to the HDMI input of the second TV.

  Turn on both TVs and then turn on your PS3 console. Select the TV HDMI input you are using for the PS3 for each TV. Generally this involves pressing the "Input" button on your TV's remote control and then selecting the HDMI input where you plugged the PS3 cable (i.e. HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3). Both TVs will now display what your PS3 console is displaying.
