Trophy Recovery in Heavy Rain for the PS3

If your saved game or profile stored on the hard drive of your PlayStation 3 becomes corrupted, it's possible to re-synchronize your trophy information with stored lists on the Sony servers. Several users have reported trophy corruption issues with the mystery adventure game "Heavy Rain," and this technique should resolve them. Because it affects the whole profile, it should work for any corrupted title.
  1. Load Your Profile

    • Power on your PlayStation 3 system. Allow it to start up and display the splash screen. Then select your profile name from the list.

Start The Game &Check File Status

    • Allow the main XMB screen to appear, then insert the "Heavy Rain" disc and load the game. Once the game reaches the main menu screen, press start and try to load your profile. When it fails and returns an error message, press the PS button on the controller and select "Quit Game" to return to the XMB screen.

    Sync Trophies With Server

    • Select "Trophy Collection" from the "Game" menu on the XMB screen and press the triangle button for other options. The only available action in the contextual menu will be "Sync With Server." Press the "X" button and the most recent backup of your trophy collection will download.

    Re-Load Game

    • Select the "Heavy Rain" icon from the "Game" menu and press "X" to load the game . Attempt to load your saved game again. If you encounter the same problem, press the PS button on the controller and move all the way to the left of the XMB bar. Scroll up to the top of the list of profiles and select your own profile. It will retry syncing the trophies with the server.
