How to Make My PS3 Find My Laptop as a Media Server

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a very capable media player that supports most commonly used (and some not so common) media formats, such as MP3, WAV, DivX and BMP. In addition to being able to play media off disc or USB flash drives, the PS3 can connect to a Media Server established on your laptop via Windows Media Player. Music, movies and photos in the Windows Media Player library can be streamed via your computer network directly to the PS3.
