How Do I Connect the NETGEAR Wireless Router I Have Upstairs to My PS3 in the Basement?

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) includes a built-in Wi-Fi adapter that can connect to a NETGEAR router to share your home Internet connection with the PS3. When setting up the NETGEAR router, a network name (what other devices see) and (optional) password were set. Because the PS3 automatically configures the other settings associated with a wireless connection, the network name and password are all you need to connect to the NETGEAR router. Once connected, the PS3 will have access to online multiplayer and downloadable content via the PlayStation Network.
