How to Get Guns on LittleBigPlanet

"LittleBigPlanet" is a platforming game for the PlayStation 3 that also allows a player to create his own levels. There are a variety of items to use when creating your levels. However, the original release of the game did not have any guns. The "Metal Gear Solid" level pack adds "Metal Gear Solid" themed enemies and level parts in addition to one weapon your character can use -- a paintball gun. You must purchase the gun from the PlayStation Store to be able to use it in-game.

  Navigate to the PlayStation Network tab on your PlayStation 3's main menu. Select the "PlayStation Store" icon.

  Select "Add-Ons" followed by "Disc Based Add-Ons" and "A-L."

  Select "Little Big Planet" followed by "M-Z."

  Select "Metal Gear Solid -- Level Kit."

  Select "Buy Now" to purchase the item. As of July 2011, this item costs $5.99. It is automatically downloaded and installed to your PlayStation 3's hard drive.

  Launch "LittleBigPlanet" once the download has completed.

  Press "Square" to open your Pop-It, which holds a list of all the items you can use. Select the Paintball Gun from the list. Aim the gun with the right analog stick and fire it by pressing "R1."
