How to Get Into Rivet City in Fallout 3 for the PS3

"Fallout 3" is a post-apocalyptic video game released for the Sony PlayStation 3 in late 2008 by Bethesda Softworks. In this game, you must find your on-the-run father and your tracking eventually leads you to Rivet City, a city built on a nonfunctional battleship only accessible by drawbridge. Finding Rivet City is a bit of a challenge being right in the middle of DC, where the Super Mutants live, but getting into the city itself is a welcome task of ease.

Instructions

- 1
  Travel to Rivet City. Press "O" to open your Pip-Boy and highlight the quest called "Scientific Pursuits." Press "X" to activate the quest, causing your marker to point toward Rivet City. Follow the marker to reach the city, taking care to avoid Super Mutants if you are not a high enough level to fight them.

  Walk up the stairs opposite Rivet City's entrance. This is where the caravan stops, so if you see a caravan there, you know you are in the right place.

  Walk up to the speaker and press "X." This initiates conversation with one of the Rivet City guards, who asks you what your business is there.

  Tell the guard you wish to enter the city. He will lower the drawbridge for you after telling you not to cause trouble.
