How to Stream a Roku Netflix Player to PS3

Roku is a manufacturer of set-top boxes, allowing users to stream Internet videos directly to their televisions, including Netflix, Hulu, MLB.TV and others. The Sony PlayStation 3 is a video game console, though includes similar capabilities for streaming video. If you've recently purchased a PS3 and wish to get the same Netflix content from your Roku player streamed to the console, you can install and activate the Netflix application.

  Power on the PS3. Navigate to the "PlayStation Network" menu. Select "PlayStation Store" and log in to your PSN account.

  Select the "Netflix" application. It may be easiest to search for the application. Select "Download" to begin downloading and installing the PS3 Netflix application.

  Navigate back to the main menu when the download completes. Select "Video," and then "Netflix." You are given an activation code to connect your Netflix account with the PS3.

  Open a Web browser on your computer. Navigate to "www.netflix.com/activate" (see Resources) and enter the activation code. Once entered and accepted, you can begin streaming the same Netflix content that you stream on your Roku player on your PlayStation 3.
