How to Kill the Red Dragon in Demons Souls

Killing the Red Dragon in "Demon's Souls," a video game for the PlayStation 3, enables you to progress in the game and receive the Small Flame Scale Demon's Soul, an artifact that can grant you 10,000 souls. Players must fight their way through a fantasy world and collect souls by killing enemies. You can use those souls to gain additional powers. Depending on your character's class, you can either kill the Red Dragon by using a ranged attack or one of your melee weapons.

Instructions

Ranged Attack

  Run quickly past the Red Dragon until you reach the first tower. Go up the stairs and kill the guards stationed on top of the tower.

  Attack the Red Dragon as it flies through the air with your bow, crossbow or any attack spells you might have.

  Press the left analog stick on your controller just after launching your attack. This will enable you to lock on to your target and automatically redirect your shot to the Red Dragon.

  Continue attacking the dragon and immediately locking on to it until it dies.
Melee Weapon

  Walk on the bridge until you see a pile of charred bodies on the floor. Move slightly to the right until you stand slightly to the left of two charred bodies on top of each other, forming an "X." Don't move too far from the two charred bodies, as you would then end up in the path of the Red Dragon's powerful attack.

  Swing your melee weapon when the dragon gets close to you.

  Continue hitting the Red Dragon until you defeat it.
