How to Upgrade the Adjudicator's Shield in Demon's Souls

There are many varieties of weapons and armor available to find in "Demon's Souls," such as the Adjucator's Shield. This powerful shield, found on level 4-1, allows the player to regenerate health during combat. Like all weapons and armor in "Demon's Souls," the Adjucator's Shield can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each upgrade allows the player to regenerate health faster, beginning with two health points per second and ending at eight health points per second.

Instructions

    • 1

Obtain a Colorless Demon's Soul. This soul can be obtained from Primeval Demons, by trading with Sparkly the Crow in level 4-1, in level 1-1 near Miralda the Executioner or as a quest reward from Mephistopheles.

    • 2

Travel to level 2-1 from the portal in the Nexus, the main hub of the game. The Nexus can be reached by activating the glowing Archstone in each level. The portal is located at the north end of the Nexus, on the left side of the staircase.

    • 3

Use the elevator to the north of the starting point of level 2-1 to access Blacksmith Ed.

    • 4

Press "X" while standing in front of Blacksmith Ed to speak to him.

    • 5

      Select "Upgrade Weapon."

    • 6

Select "Adjucator's Shield" to view the upgrade options.

    • 7

Select "Adjucator's Shield +1" to instantly upgrade the shield. A Colorless Demon's Soul is removed from your inventory when the shield is upgraded.

    • 8

Continue to upgrade the shield using any Colorless Demon's Souls you own until the shield is an "Adjucator Shield +5," at which point it can no longer be upgraded.
