How to Find the IP on Your PS3

An IP address is a computer's personal identification number. Modern video game consoles, such as the PlayStation 3, or PS3, are now much more advanced than the older generations of machines that simply processed and ran video games. Today's consoles are computers themselves and can connect to the internet, play movies and do anything else a normal computer can do even though their main function is to read video game disks so that users can enjoy different adventures, sports and stories while being a part of the action.

     Turn on your PS3 and PS3 dualshock controller.

     Scroll left or right to the "Settings" tab once the menu loads.

     Scroll down to "System Settings" and press the "X" button.

   • 4

     Scoll down to "System Information" and press the "X" button. Your IP address will be the 10-digit number on the second line next to the words "IP Address."
