"Dead Space" is a third-person action adventure game developed by EA Redwood Shores Studio and published by Electronic Arts in October 2008. The protagonist, Isaac Clarke, is part of a crew sent to investigate communications issues with the USG Ishimura, a space-faring mining vessel in possible distress. As Isaac, players reach the Ishimura only to find it infested with monsters. Wearing a space suit with magnetic boots, Isaac can navigate even zero-gravity areas of the ship and perform a "space jump" that allows him to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

Locate a zero-gravity room and move to the spot from which you wish to jump. Isaac's boots keep him magnetically attached to any surface, so you can jump from any surface area, including walls and ceilings.

Hold down the "L2" button to aim your jump. Your weapon's ammo display will flash red when you aim for a spot you cannot jump to.

Press "Triangle" to make the jump. Isaac's boots will attach to the new surface, where you will be able to continue moving about.
