How to Deactivate PSN Trophies

The PlayStation Network (PSN) allows you to message friends, play online games, purchase and download content and stream videos. When you play video games, online or offline, you earn trophies that are displayed in your PS3's trophy collection. Whenever you sign on to the PSN, friends and other users can view your collection of achievements and awards. If you want to deactivate your trophy collection from view, you can do it with a few clicks of the PS3 controller.

     Turn on your PS3 console and scroll to the "Settings" icon on the far, right side of the XMB menu.

     Scroll down to the "System Settings" option and press the "X" button on your PS3 controller to select.

     Select the "Notification Messages" option and click on "Do Not Display." Press the "Circle" button on your PS3 controller twice to save the settings and go back to the XMB menu.
