How to Unlock Sideswipe in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" allows players to control both Autobots and Decepticons in this action brawler from Activision. "Revenge of the Fallen" offers players two game modes where they can play as series icons Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream and Megatron. The game also allows players to unlock other characters to play with in-game and online. Players must download the "Character and Map Pack Plus DLC" and then play through the single player mode on "Expert" to unlock Sideswipe.

  Log onto Xbox Live or the PlayStation Marketplace and download the "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Character and Map Pack Plus DLC." The DLC provides players with eight new characters, including Sideswipe, three new character skins, three additional multi-player maps and an "Expert" difficulty setting for the game's single player mode. The DLC cost 800 Microsoft points or $9.99 in the PlayStation Marketplace when released in August, 2009.

  Go to the game's main menu and select the "Autobot Campaign Mode." Select "Expert" as the game's difficulty setting and begin playing through the single player mode. Enemies deal more damage and your attacks deal less on "Expert," making this mode more difficult than those you have previously played.

  Complete the five levels of the Autobot single player mode to unlock all of the new Autobots included in the DLC. Go to the character select screen and Sideswipe will now be available to play with in either the game's single player or online multi-player modes.
