Air Fuel Grenade Traps
You can use air fuel grenades to set traps for both human- and computer-controlled opponents. Unlike other grenades in the game, the air fuel type can be detonated at a later point than normal. Holding down the "Circle" button will cause the grenade to pause before explosion. You can throw the grenade toward advancing enemies and release the button to make it explode when they get close. If a group of opponents are chasing you during an online match, drop an air fuel grenade and then detonate it right when they pass over it. However, no matter how long you hold the "Circle" button, the grenade will explode after 30 seconds.
Bull's-eye Trap
The bull-s-eye trap is a cheat that you can use during online matches to quickly increase the number of times that you kill your opponents. Press the "L1" button to fire a bull's-eye trap onto the ground. Continue holding the "L1" button to keep the trap in that location. Fire a few shots into the air, and you will see that the bullets are hovering in that location. Release the "L1" button, and you will now have control over the bullets that you fired. Now aim toward the target and move the bullets in their direction. You do not have to aim directly at the target, but you can still inflict damage upon your target.
Unlockable Secrets
"Resistance: Fall of Man" features a number of unlockable secrets that you can use only once you have completed specific requirements. The rewards for reaching these objectives included various character models and new weapons that can be used in single player and online battle matches. The weapons include the Backlash Grenades, Arc Charger, L11-2 Dragon, Splitter and Reapers. Each one of these weapons are more powerful than any of the other available weapons in the game. Completing the campaign mode will unlock two variations of the Black Ops character model that can be used to customize your online character. Gaining all of the skill points while in campaign mode will unlock the mechanic character model.
Additional Online Unlockables
"Resistance: Fall of Man" has a variety of unlockables that are available during the online multiplayer games. These rewards are attainable by completing different types of objectives while you defeat your opponents in online matches. An added bonus of completing different types of online matches you will increase your soldier's rank. For example, the Ghost medal is unlocked once you defeat 100 enemies using a silent kill. Defeating 100 opponents with assist kills will unlock the Helping Hand solider medal. The Hero medal is available once you complete 200 online matches and finish in first place at least 60 times.
