How to Be Good at Sniping in Modern Warfare 2

First-person shooting games improve your accuracy and concentration while gaming. In "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," you shoot other players in various game formats including team deathmatch, free-for-all and demolition where each team works to blow up the two bomb sites on the map and the other team attempts to stop their efforts. Be a sneaky shooter as you snipe other players from far distances in hidden locations. Certain maps are easier to snipe at than others due to size and building, and obstacle positioning.

  Use a sniper rifle as your primary weapon. Sniper rifles do not have as much ammunition as other weapons but are much more accurate and powerful, requiring only one or two shots to kill an enemy. Two popular sniper rifles are the Intervention and the Barrett.

  Use scavenger, sleight of hand and steady aim for your perks. Scavenger automatically picks up ammunition when you pass by an ammunition pack dropped by a dead person. When you level the skill up, you start with more ammunition. Sleight of hand allows you to reload faster, giving you a better chance of killing the enemy if you miss on the first shot. When it becomes pro, you aim down the sights faster to hit enemies on the run. If you have steady aim, you hold your breath longer, giving you additional time to aim at an enemy when scoping.

  Choose a hidden location on the map. Hide up high in buildings, in grass or behind vehicles to shield yourself from other players.

  Play larger maps, such as wasteland, which has plenty of grass or an estate which is also large but also has a house to hide in and grassy areas. Favella is another map with buildings, making it ideal for sniping enemies as they run through the map. You can snipe on nearly all maps, but when building your skills, stick to the larger maps.
